That is awesome!! Very cool project!
Thank you Quintin, I haven't used the crane to many times since I put it on. But the few times it did, It sure did come in handy. And I like the way it looks on there.
Question. What did you do to the hose reel? Is it for sale?
Not for sale as of now.
remold tyre?
Bought it at a shady used tire place. I guess it didn't save me any money in the end.
Got a Jonsered 535 classic with gray top from my granfather when i was a kid 10-15years ago. It didnt work. Fixed it today, it was the coil that needed to be replaced. It has also been repaired in the oil tank, but still leaks, going to grind away the old glue repair my father had done and try to get it sealed tight with liquid metal epoxy. Its missing the stopswitch which i lost years ago, and also need a sword and chain and cover. Hoping to have the saw for the remainder of my life.
Awesome! Yea I ended up finding an OEM stop switch I think I got it on Ebay. They are definitely cool unique old saws. I plan on taking possession of all my dads old Jonsereds. At this point they are just all old worn out saws to him. But I just love them. Thanks for sharing!
У меня такой же снегоход , но двигатель чутка другой. Тоже RMK 900 трак 166. Но есть проблема , постоянно горят свечи зажигания. Живу в России .
I have never had a spark plug problem with this machine, Does the check engine light blink when you start the machine up. There are quite a few sensors and electronics on these engines. If the check engine light blinks after startup count the number of blinks and that will correspond to an engine code and atleast point you in the direction of where to start looking for the problem. Just google rmk 900 engine light codes and you you should be able to find the engine light code chart. I hope this helps.
that rig looks like its ready for fort mcmurray by the way its setup lol
Yup I first broke out rig welding in Mcmurray that's exactly what it was setup for.
It's been awhile! How ya holding up?
Yank how the heck are ya? every once in a while I think to myself that I should give you a call. But of course I never do because I am very bad at keeping in touch with people. All good here, same ole
I understand, we all get busy with life and days go by!
Wouldn't want to loose one of those in the brush
Yea they are high maintenance machines but they sure do get stuff done in a hurry.
Fine job Curtis 👍🏻
Thank you Mr. Rock
Yaay! Good to see you Curtis!, big muncher back in action for crowd control lol 😝👍
Oh yes Mikey, it is a machine of many uses. chewing up trees, grinding meat, crowd control, the sky is the limit really.
nice setup
Thank you
Was it a 8ft box or 6ft 6? Just bougjt a 4 door 2500hd to make a service teuck out of really like the setup
It was a cab and chassis truck, But the same dimensions as an 8ft box truck. the deck is around 9ft.
A free wild thing with a cheap Chinese cylinder is win , win in my book .
Yea man if it works it works!
Thanks for this Curtis, I've just removed the carbs on my '94 model, rebuilt them with a carb kit and put them back on, what a nightmare ! I guess the throttle cables need to pull the same so each carb vacuums at the same level at the same time and the idle is set with the sync cable that joins both carbs. So much easier to do on my Vmax 1200 where all adjusment screws are clear to access, this is going to shred my head as I now have to remove some things again to set the air mixture screws that were turned out three time instead of the manuals 2 for the rear and 2.3 for the front, but I'll get there, cheers !
Man Intruders are sweet bikes But accessing the carbs is a nightmare. I still love them though, my 87 pulls harder and has more top speed than my 91. It seems the newer they are the weaker they get. Still cool old bikes though.
Nice build
Thank you Aaron! piped ultras make nice power when set up correctly. I would have never done this to a nice saveable ultra but this thing was a hack job left for dead in a field so it was a perfect canadaite for a custom build.
Congratulations on engagement
Hey Nicky! Thank you the wedding is going to be a big one now I have to put my nose to the grindstone to pay for it.
I remember you welding the back wheel 😬😂, you’re a machines best friend Curtis, pure genius mate, great video 👍
Well Mikey I never use manuals or anything like that .I just kinda do what I think is the right thing to do at that point in time. But that you ole boy.
You certainly made that sled into a smooth handling and riding snowmobile,Great Job!
Thank you, Meaghan is very happy with it, Just a little more suspension adjustment and it will be aweosme.
Morning Curtis, I bought myself a 1995 Kawasaki KLE with 27.000 miles on it on Wednesday for £1100, new tyres, new hellcat exhaust, new chain & sprockets and lots of other new trinkets & extras, shit homemade paint job but I’m not concerned about that, it looks great from 20 yards away lol, it’s still in my van I’m gonna get it out today (Friday) & get a better look at it as I bought it on impulse, seems a lot of bike for the money? I’ll upload a short video later so you can see it, thought you might be interested? Lost the XR due to misadventures & money problems last year so I’m quite happy again lol, hope you’re doing good man 😊👍
Mikey! Always glad to hear from you. Man that sucks that you had to get rid of the XR but you can be thankful that you had it and you were able to get rid of it to get you out of a tight spot, And now you rose from the ashes and have a cool new bike. I have never even seen a KLE They must have never came to my part of the world. But I just googled it, Is yours 500cc? yea the paint job doesn't matter I am sure you can strip the paint and scrape and heat gun the plastics and it will look like a million bucks, I am doing good, not getting rich or poor, just doing good, Contracting for a new company my friends started two years ago, Fabricating and also rebuilding underground mining equipment components, they found a hole in the market and went for it. And are doing very well. We are moving into a new big fancy shop right away here. It took them over a year to convince me to come contract for them. But I finally gave in, they pay me well for what the job is. They offered me a management position but I deflected the conversation. It might be in my best interest to get into a position like that at a new rapidly expanding company. But I'd like to live my willy nilly contractor life style for a little while longer. So I don't know but either way I am doin just fine ole Mikey. I will look out for your video Congrats on the new bike and thank you for thinking of me. It is always good to hear from you ole Mikey. I hope that you are doing well and all is good in your neck of the woods .I wish I could video some of the cool projects and machinery that I get involved with these days, but it's not my business and not my property to be posting online. But that's just life. See you on the next one Mikey!
Managerial position 😳😂, your not going soft on us are you? Jeez man your hands would divorce you & run away!! Maybe when you’re a bit older & sorer lol. Just fooling with ya but I wasn’t expecting that from the trailer/snowmobile/bike/saw/truck & just about everything else that whirrs & ticks resurrector gadget fabrication man😂, who’s gonna repair all them projects if you’re cutting about in a suit lol, too funny man! Glad to hear you’re doing ok you’re no fool I’m sure the right path will find you, upwards & onwards mate 💪😬👍
Man, that rig is tight! You're right about that labor shortage... People keep asking me how I keep getting work and I tell them to hand out cards. It's the only thing I have to do.
Build it and they will come
Haha, "not my design". I don't know how many times I've said that. People don't realize how creative the customers get when they tell you how they want it. Expanded metal is right up on the list with aluminum and cast iron... I'm not a fan. Good work brother!
Man I was subbing to a guy who was contracted by the township so this plan went from them to him to me. But in short the job turned out well.
Brother, this is awesome! Now I have more welding videos to watch. Get it!!! Suuuuuubbbbed.🤘🏻
Man you rock, love your music and personality, You are a fun guy to watch, your RUclips career will go far. Due to the nature of my work on some fancy pants sites, filming is not permitted but I film weld jobs when I can. Keep rockin it ole boy all a fella can do is try. And I'd say we are both doing that pretty well.
@@506curtis I hope you can video more, you're jobs are interesting. I love to see the different jobs people get from different places on the globe.
Legit question...what does it mean when oil is coming out exhaust port of cylinder?
Not exactly sure what you are asking here but a certain amount of black oil residue will come out of the exhaust of any two stroke, The amount will depend on your mix ratio or oil pump setting depending on if it is oil injected or a pre mix engine.
Some oil injection systems if the pump or cable to the injection system fails they default to a wide open oil injection as a fail safe. So oil and smoke out of your exhaust is a good thing. Versus a clean exhaust with little or no smoke. An oil rich two stroke will run forever where an oil lean two stroke may make more power, but only for a short time before it siezes. two strokes like gas and oil.
we have to pay import duty on a work vehicle like this in Australia, so if we need a welder we are screwed so they patch it and limp it to a workshop since we dont got the 4x4 to get to it
That sucks, But also really big equipment you can't just simply bring it to a repair shop, unless you take it apart and bring the broken component in. But I see what you are saying and that sucks because often times major repairs can just be completed in the field and save all those disassembly and transport costs,
I am attending school for welding I’m new to this game love the truck thank you bro for your time big motivation
Yea dude get it! Their is alot of money to be made in the welding trade.
Great Work!!
Thank you! I am glad that I had the time to do it. I didn't think I would get the crane on before the snow flew. But now I am all set.
Super handy to be able to lift materials up and down on your truck. Good job , good to see that you’re staying busy
Thank you. And yes I think It will definitely make things easier for me. Always good to hear from you.
Just no stopping you is there 😂, that’s frickin awesome, looks like it grew there, love it 😍✊
Thank you MR. Yoyo, Yea I am pretty excited about it as well. A nice swingy lifty winchy arm for sure.
That’s some mighty fine fabrication and welding, that little crane will make your life a lot easier 🤙🇺🇸🦅✌️
Thank you Rock, Yea Hopefully it will be a handy addition. Iv'e been wanting something on there for a long time now.
Killer work man 🤘🇨🇦 as always, be safe out there
Hey thank you!
Trucks looking nice Curtis! That crane is gonna be aweosme. I love that torch trolley I need me one of them… Glad to see you again. Catch ya soon -Chris
Hey thanks man! Yea they call those track torches, radiographs. They are nice for cutting thick plate. And I am also excited to get that crane on and hooked up. But not sure I will have time to get that done before the snow flies. Hopefully though. I hope all is well out your way Chris.
@@506curtis not bad out this way got my firewood cut getting ready for archery season!
lovely welds
Thank you!
Looks great Curtis, 👍
Thank you. I am glad to have it done.
Quote for today,”if you don’t go for it you’ll never have it!” That’s the spirit! Busy Bee Curtis, trucks looking good just need some sheriffs decals lol, what does that thing wheigh? Maybe fit an anchor on the rear incase the brakes fail lol, good to see ya ✌️
Well Mikey Back when I first put this truck together it weighed in at just under 6700 Kg and I have been adding weight to it ever since. So it would be interesting to see what it weighed in at now. Probably alot. It does not stop on a dime that is for sure. Always a pleasure to hear from you Mikey. I always appreciate it, thank you.
Ouch
Killer work✌️🇨🇦
Thank You!
You just got a new sub here. What area are you in? Canada?
Hello Nick. Yes Western Canada. And thank you.
I'll buy that for a dollar
Awesome rig, nice setup
Thanks Billy!
What carb sync tool are you using ?
Curtis, I have watched this series a few times. I have been wondering if all the carbon steel used in the repairs is just mild steel. perhaps i missed it if you have ever said otherwise. I need to do a similar rebuild and need to decide on materials. thanks Tom
Hey, It's not nice to threaten people by saying Look at that welder,I'd rather not thank you!!😊
Thank you Big Dave.
Great.
That truck turned out pretty whizbang 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 good job
Hey thank you. Good to hear from you hope all is well.
Nice job!! Its great to have all the tools amd have them organized! My tool trailer was that way when i was contracting. Thanls for the walkaround!! STAY SAFE!!
Yea the deck is old but it still gets the job done. I am definitely loving the new reel setup though. Thanks man!
That’s a work of art! Mobile workshop, you’ve put a shitload of thought & work In but but the result is banging 🎉. I’ve not been watching much utube I took a break from it I did see the first video when you were fitting the new rear lights though, I’ll need to watch the others but it’s a thumbs up from me, good job Curtis 👍
Hey Mikey! Good to hear from you, I hope all is well out your way. It's sure been hot and dry here.
Hey bud, we had nothing but crappy rain from Xmas, frost in April, nothing was growing but we went from 10c to 24c in the past week so it’s a heatwave for us, had sunstroke yesterday and got stung with a wasp today 😂. Living the dream lol
@@mikeyyoyo6464 Ah yes well hopefully it's all up from here Mikey!
No catastrophe goes to waste because they're all engineered in the nation of con jobs and wannabes
looking great, would be a Excellent truck to work out of, thanks for the vid. Dave in Utah
Hey thanks Dave, I appreciate it.
Thank you for your video. For those who are wondering how to adjust the screws to synchronize the carburetors. The little philip head screw with the 7mm lock nut is the first one you do to synchronize the idle system. It's located on the top carburetor, just ahead of the top throttle cable adjustment. Once idle sync is done, then be processed the the top throttle cable adjustment. Rev motor up to about half throttle and sycn. That's pretty much all you have to do. There is no need to touch any other cable adjustments.
Nice Curtis, its looking good, hello from Utah
Hello, and thank you very much!
